Meet the Artists - Alma

As the members of our new Design Team make their debut in an issue of SheetLoad of Cards, we will post a special "episode" of Meet the Artists here on the SheetLoad blog.




Today's Artist is Alma, who made her debut in the July '09 issue. Please read on to learn more about Alma and help me welcome her to the team.

SheetLoad Q - What is a little-known or odd fact about yourself? I am too much of a perfectionist. Everything has to be "just right" and in the right place. Throughout the years, I've learned to become more laid back since having children, but still a little freaky about some things like cleanliness - LOL!

SheetLoad Q - What is a recent card you have made, that would be considered a favorite?

SheetLoad Q - Anything else you would like our readers to know? It's been an honor and a pleasure to meet so many wonderful crafters from all over and be part of a huge crafting community. So many of you have given me so much inspiration in the last 3 years that I have been papercrafting. Thanks to you all!

- Create one (1) card using the sketch from our July 2009 issue of SheetLoad
- Upload your card to an online gallery or your blog.
- Come back to this post and leave a comment with the DIRECT link to your card and your favorite stamp(s) from Squigglefly's Online Store, no later than Thursday, July 30th.
- The "Grand Prize" winner will receive Four (4) FREE Digital Stamps of their choice, and the "Runner Up" will be awarded Two (2) FREE Digital Stamps of their choice.

The "fine print"...
- The link in your comment MUST go directly to your entry in an online gallery, or the blog post containing the entered card. (Any comments with indirect links will be disqualified.)
- If your comment does not link to a blog with "contact me" info, you MUST leave your email address in your comment. You are free to add spaces to avoid spam bots.
- Only one entry per person. ETA: You may enter a full SheetLoad, but all of the cards in the picture should be similar and from the same issue.

SheetLoad, ShortCuts and Caardvarks!!

ShortCuts has teamed up with Caardvarks for their first challenge of the month, and the SheetLoad Team gets to play along, as our latest issue (July '09) is used in the challenge.

A bit about Caardvarks, in their own words...

Caardvarks is all about making cards and having fun doing it. We know many scrapbookers who have zero confidence in their card-making skills. Caardvarks is always there, offering up themes to give them a starting point. We host card challenges on the 5th and 20th of each month. We’ve been doing it for over two years!
