They really DID make a SheetLoad of Cards...

I received an email a couple days ago from Jamie Schoppmann. She and her friend, Savannah Alvey, have been using SheetLoad to create lots and lots of cards.

This picture shows some of the 200 cards they made in just a couple of weeks. Amazing!

Jamie also sent me photos of other cards they have put together. She says some times they "get carried away" and that they think of "all the different styles and just keep changing out the paper" on the same sketch.

In the slideshow below you can see some of the cards they have made. What I noticed and thought would be a great tip to pass on to SheetLoad readers is they left the image/sentiment area blank. What a great way to personalize it later for the exact occasion.

Great job Jamie & Savannah - thanks for sharing your cards with us!

Galorious Stampers use SheetLoad!!

I received this email from a SheetLoad reader earlier in the week and just had to share:
~~
Hi. I absolutely love your e-zine, and I introduced it to our stamp group in January, wondering if they'd like to take the November design and make cards.

I didn't specify what holiday or a specific kind of card; they could choose what they wanted. Each person made 12 card fronts from their batch, and then we swapped, so that we each of us (there were 5 of us there) ended up with two card fronts from the other four people.

I'm attaching a JPEG of the kinds of cards that were made. We ran the gamut from Valentine's, to Easter, to... Blank!

Just thought you'd like to see what your ezine inspired!

(And one of our members liked the idea and the process so much that she has suggested to me, privately, that we should do it again later this year!)

Thanks for your efforts.
Pat Gonzales
~~

Of course I had to contact Pat to find out more about her group.

Galorious Stampers is a group located in the Lexington, KY area, and they have been meeting for around 9 years. Originally they met at their local stamp store named "Stamps Galore" and that is where they got their group name from.

Pat found SheetLoad from a posting on Gingerwood's stamp message board and was curious to see what each of the stampers in her group would do with the design.

Pat's favorite features of the eZine are:
  • specific materials list - how many sheets of what kind of paper
  • the cutting diagrams
  • the fact that you know how many cards you will be making
  • seeing the various ways the same design is interpreted - with other publications they only show the sketch and one finished card

Pat - thank you so much for your feedback. I can't wait to see what else your group does with SheetLoad!!

If anybody else out there has a stamping group that has done something similar, please feel free to email me at sheetload@comcast.net

Happy scrappin'
