The purpose of "Simple Special Stunning" is to show how each issue of SheetLoad can be adapted for papercrafters of all levels. Whether it is sticking exactly to the sketch, or adding some extra bling.
Today's cards were created by Barbara DeBose and feature the sketch from our August '09 issue of SheetLoad of Cards.
• All mat layers are scalloped on all edges
• Balloons are punched from patterned paper and adhered with 3D foam tape
• The oval is embossed with a distressed ink sky
• A Clear Card Blank from ShortCuts was used.
• Balloons are buttons stitched on with matching thread
• The embossed oval has a scalloped mat
• A two-tone sky and landscape are added to the embossed oval
• Ribbon is tied into a bow
• The sentiment is stamped in a more prominent color onto a tag distressed with ink that is tied to the ribbon with hemp fiber
• Scalloped mats have been added to the squares
• The middle layer mat is narrower and has a larger scalloped top and bottom

Barbara - you did an awesome job on all of the samples! I love how each one graduates to all of the bling!
Beautiful cards, all of them! Great graduation of additions -- wonderful DP, and I really like the additions of sponging around the image and the final buttons!!
Love how you used the buttons, going to check out those stamps.
