What do you think...

... of our new "look"?!

I created the new background, header and other blog elements, using Summer Driggs' "Apples & Almonds" digital kit.

If you are into digital scrapbooking kits at all, you need to check out Summer's blog. She has tons of free (for personal use), awesome kits available to download.

She also has a new, special, digital kit that is in honor of a special little girl fighting cancer. Make sure to check out her Easy Breezy kit post for details on how you can help.

A Good-Bye and A Hello

If any of you follow Marlene Lo's blog, you know she has had some huge life changes going on lately. Because of her new "schedule" she has asked to step down from the Design Team. We are sorry to see her go, she does such lovely work, but hopefully this is more of an "until we see you again", and not a permanent "good-bye".

"When one door closes, another one opens..."

I am excited to announce that we will be replacing Marlene with one of the artists who applied for the recent Design Team call. She did such lovely work, and was the hardest to "cut". I am just so glad she agreed to come on board.

Please help me welcome....

Sample Artist: Alma Olhava

You will start to see Alma's work in the upcoming July issue!!

Sponsor Spotlight: There She Goes Clear Stamps

Beginning this month, SheetLoad of Cards will be having a "Sponsorship Spotlight" feature! This will give our readers the chance to learn more about the company sponsoring the current issue.

This month's Spotlight is on There She Goes Clear Stamps. Here is the company in Jessica's (the owner) own words...

I am so excited to have There She Goes be the sponsor for this month's SheetLoad of Cards! There are so many gorgeous cards in this issue and I love seeing how all of the designers were able to create such different samples using my stamps.

There She Goes sells clear stamps in many different styles from elegant to playful. When I started this company back in September, my goal was to try to incorporate as many different styles of stamps as I could to give people a variety of stamp sets to choose from. I chose to go with clear photopolymer stamps verses the traditional rubber stamps because I love the convenience of being able to see exactly where I am stamping to get perfect placement every time. Another reason is that it is a great space saver! Since you do not have the attached blocks, you are able to store them either in the packaging they come on or in CD cases. Which means, more room for more stamps! And after all, isn't that what we all need?? ;)

There She Goes received a big makeover for the month of May. After months of hard work, we now have our own Forum, Gallery and a brand new Website! There is now even more places to find inspiration using your TSG products. Every week we have a Friday Chat in the forum from 7-9 PM both Eastern and Pacific time. It is the perfect place to come hang out and relax after a long week (and believe me, it's cheaper than therapy lol!) You may even meet some great new friends too. Along with the chat, we also post a new challenge on the forum every Friday to get your creative juices flowing for weekend stamping.

Our fabulous Trendsetters are always creating new and beautiful projects with TSG stamps. One look at their blogs and you will definitely become hooked! They provide such inspiration as well as unique ideas that you may not have thought about when taking a first glance at a particular stamp set.

I hope that you will get a chance to take a look around the new TSG website as well as stop by one of our chats, it always feels like talking with old friends :) If you ever have any questions regarding There She Goes, please feel free to contact me directly! I enjoy getting to know my customers and helping out in any way I can. If you would like to learn more about TSG (how the company came to be, using the stamps etc.) you can also check out the About Us and FAQ pages on the website.

Reader Idea: Double Scrapling

Recently, as I was blog hopping for SheetLoad creations, I came upon Vicki Wizniuk's blog. She had an idea so fun and great, that I had to get permission to share it here.

Instead of cutting 2 scraplings per page, as the recent issue calls for, Vicki just cut one, kinda like a double scrapling. The robot card is twice as wide, which allows for a larger image on the front.

Vicki, then realized that these "double scraplings" were large enough to be a gift card holder,

so she added a pocket inside and voila...

I hope you will stop by her blog post for more information on the creations above, as well as other eye candy.

Welcome to our new Design Team Members...

Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply and "interview" for the open spots on the SheetLoad Design Team. I was able to learn about so many fabulous artists and making the final decision was beyond tough.

In the end I was unable to narrow it down to just 4 artists; that the call was originally requesting. To make more room I decided to add back a 4th Sketch Artist and took my name off the Sample Artist schedule; leaving 6 open spots.

Without further ado, please help me welcome the new members of the SheetLoad Design Team....

Sample Artist: Nikki Tanner

Sample Artist: Teri Berrios

Sample Artist: Kim Beinschroth

Sketch Artist: Liz Weber

Sample Artist: Kelly Landers

Sample Artist: Jessica George

You will start to see work by the new artists starting in the August '09 issue of SheetLoad of Cards.

Help Keep SheetLoad FREE - Update!!

Wow, I am almost speechless. I would have never dreamed when I posted asking for some help with the upkeep of SheetLoad that so many readers would help out so generously and quickly!

Photobucket

I posted about donations Monday morning, and as of Tuesday at 10:30 AM I had turned the button off, because the goal was reached (and surpassed)!

A total of $122 was raised. This will go toward the 4Shared and Mr Linky accounts and there is even some leftover for future blog candies, or to help with shipping costs. (Even after the button was shut off, donations are continuing to come in and now we are up to $177.00!)

Thanks so much to everyone who keeps coming back to my little site, and especially to the following readers for helping to reach the goal...

Please help keep SheetLoad FREE

Photobucket

Many of you may not know, that besides sponsored product and the small income from paid ads, I fund SheetLoad entirely on my own.

Because I love working with my incredible design team, learning about and using new product from our sponsors, and sharing my "little" eZine with all of you, I want to continue to make it available at no cost.

If you do enjoy the magazine, and would like to (and financially able to) contribute, please do so by clicking on the button above (or on the left side of the blog). Any amount, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated and will be entirely put toward funding the future of SheetLoad of Cards.

Any monies received through donations will be put toward the following:
- Server space on 4Shared Account. Currently I pay $9.95 per month for online filesharing. Without the paid account, only about 1/10th of you could download the issue each month. This also allows me to keep all of the archived issues available for download.
- Shipping of Blog Candies/Prizes. I usually spend upwards of $50 per month shipping product to my design team and multiple blog candies, including to International winners.
- Mr Linky "Gold" Account. Enables me to offer up multiple blog candies at a time, and keep track of all of the entries; easily.

If/when I reach $100 donated, I will turn off the donation button. At that point I can pre-pay a year of 4Shared and the year of Mr Linky "Gold". The paid ads will pretty much cover shipping of prizes/product after that. (I will keep a running total below the button in the sidebar.)

Donations will be collected securely through PayPal.
