I know I say this every month, but I do mean it -- The May 2009 issue of SheetLoad is one my favorite issues yet.
Not only was this a fun and unique sketch to work with, but we had a whole team of artists join us as our "Guest" for the month.
Ann created the sketch this month, which includes a 4.25" square card and a "scrapling". If you follow the cutting diagrams, you will end up with eighteen, yes 18, cards! What a wonderful way to increase your card stash!!
What is a "scrapling" you ask?! Well, I didn't know what it was until a couple months ago myself. I somehow stumbled upon this Hero Arts page (scroll down to see scraplings) and became obsessed with trying this out in an issue. Basically a scrapling is the scrap piece you have left over when you cut a square card base.
Did you take a guess on the sneak peek post about who our May sponsor was?! If you guessed There She Goes Clear Stamps, you were correct!!! Jessica Knutsen, the owner, and some of the wonderful artists on her team, joined us for the issue. Their cards are marked throughout the issue as "Guest Artist". Didn't they do wonderful?!
